Our Reviews
Told me I needed a new battery and eat proofing. They didn't know they had already rat proofed the car. I declined the new battery. AAA came to my home with a computer that Checked my battery. I was told by AAA that I didn't need a new battery as I had at least 2 and 1/2 years to go on the battery I had. When I called Toyota to complain I was told the men in the service department get a comission on what they sell.
Crooks... Went in for an alternator issue, they said I needed a new wiring harness, quoted me almost $7000. I had my truck towed back home, replaced the alternator and it's been running for 3 months. Will never waste another 125 assessment fee again. They also left part of the vehicle disassembled and the hardware was sitting on the firewall.. Bad service, dishonest evaluation. Never again SC Toyota..
Max was very knowledgeable and easy to work with! He made our experience enjoyable! Thanks Max!
Worst place for car repairs. I spent over $4000 in repair work THEY said I needed. My car doesn't run any different than it did when I took it in. They have had it 2 month & I get it back today, my car is trashed. My seat panels were taken off, I have no idea why, but I can't get the passenger panel back on right. I am so upset, shaking & crying. I have never felt so screwed over by a company!!!
No one likes to be upsold for maintenance parts that should have been previously replaced.
I bought a certified used Tacoma from these guys. Everything seemed to work out fine except for a couple things. There were dents that they agreed to fix that were not repaired well and I was not in a position to demand they redo those repairs. AND they NEVER informed me that the truck was bought at Auction from North Carolina, so I was not buying an original California vehicle! So the premium price for a CA originating vehicle was not justified. Seems like that should be stated clearly in the paperwork. Then, when they delivered the vehicle it had somehow not been weighed? Properly so we had to go to get it weighed fsfr. Some things to look out for if you decide to shop here.
After the last 30,000 mile service for my car is emitting gas fumes. It has never done that before.
I honestly wish I could give this dealership a big fat ZERO! Completely dishonest and extremely unprofessional. I bought a “certified used vehicle “ which started giving me problems not much longer after purchasing. My driver door started making a clicking weird sound and when I took it in for service they first off wanted to charge me for something that they had to fix, then the tech stated that it seems like the car has been in an accident before , when I have never since I bought the car been in an accident. It seems like the framework is off in the car and I’m pretty sure they hid the fact that the has been in an accident since my hood won’t completely close and its uneven , we mentioned it to them and they refused to fix it!! They have been awful to deal with from day one. Please avoid at all costs.
Wow, Finance bait-and-switch at its worst. "Santa Cruz Toyota: home of the $450 oil change". If you want to be made to feel a fool, then go ahead and buy from these people. To be clear, I'm happy with the used truck I bought, and even my (limited) experience with their Service department, but the Finance guy (Alex) downright lied to me when he sold me a "prepaid" service package, ensuring me that my upcoming 60,000 mile maintenance would be covered. Well, I only discovered that what he sold me was "oil changes and fluids" when I drove an hour to get there for the 60,000 mile work. By the time they "refunded" me the package, they had pro-rated it and the one (!) oil change they had done for me so far wound up costing me $450! I'm not happy, and won't be back. I'll be taking my truck to a local service business closer to home from here out. And I will not be buying from them again. I should have known better. And they've left me feeling like a fool. Don't buy anything those clowns in the time-wasting Finance "close" offer you. I thought buying a used vehicle and some maintenance from the dealer would be a safer way to go, but if you go this route, beware.
My experience has been less than average. They have no stock. They say I'm on their waitlist, but I never receive an update. I expect a better response to a buyer willing to spend alot of money on a Toyota SUV. I really have'nt worked with anyone yet. I'm still looking for a 2023 SR5 4wd.
Derek is superior at explaining the car to me and clearly answered my questions. Their finance person was extremely helpful in giving me the finance picture. These men were polite and did not pressure me into buying this car. It is a great car.
Terrible customer service in the parts department. I called early this morning was out on hold twice and never got an answer. Called in now around 4pm and spoke to a guy named Manuel who was really rude with an attitude. I was looking to have spare keys made and he was rude when he asked for the Vin and asking why I needed spare keys. And I said I need extra keys for if the keys get locked in the car someone can come open it. He looked up the Vin and said the keys were $38 each and it's a few days to get them ordered and they also have a programming fee and every car is different it could be $100-$200. So I said $100?! Nevermind I'll go to salinas since they are only $30 and overnight to order and he hung up the phone! HUNG UP ON ME!? Like who does that and doesn't offer to look into that or see if there is a better price available or something? Super rude would give the place 0 stars if I could. Thumbs down to Manuel
I have to calm down a little bit to write this review for my experience in this dealer. I was interested a car in this dealer. A person served me nicely and friendly though asking some specific but cross-line personal info before everything. It was acceptable. However, Tom, who might be a manager, met me after that, which was horrible and rude. He pretended to be welcoming and nice and funny as he thought himself was. He was eager to sell the service package along with the car. I said I was interested in the car only. His face changed a lot. Then we went back to talk about the numbers. He provided an offer, I could not pay that and provided my budget. He seemed very angry and turned back to asking his boss with saying "your wallet matters but not your preference!" loudly. Excuse me???? I still put myself calm and waited. Then he went back without going back to the table but just waved to me and shout "I cannot do that". Without any thank you or sorry, he just left. I felt very offended and felt bad about his changing attitudes and rude behaviors. I never experienced such disrespectful attitudes in a dealership. I strongly suggest to avoid this dealer or avoid Tom at least.
That was the first time I bought a car from a woman, my salesperson, Robin, was an expert in teaching about all of the safety technology. She was so patient and helpful
Miserable. This dealership represents everything that is dirty and gross about buying a used car. They do hard sales, crazy time wasting delays and more crap. Just a little insight on today. They took my keys to get an appraisal of our used car. I told them it had to be quick because I needed to pick up our daughter from school. They then came back 10 minutes later with an insulting offer. I was now running late. I told him I’m late picking up my daughter. He said no problem. Give me a minute. Then was gone for another 10 minutes. The other sales guy sitting with me kept saying he’ll be back with my keys. I kept on standing up saying I have to leave. I’m late. The sales guy came back again with another offer for me. By this time I was furious. I said I’m late and needed to go. He said “ your obviously here to make a deal and buy a car. Let’s make a deal.” I demanded my keys, and he said “ I’m not here to keep you like a prisoner!” That’s exactly what he was doing. I felt dirty, used and pissed. I took the keys out of his hands and left. Carvana is looking like a good option right now.
